HOW TO MANAGE REMOTE MOTION-DETECTING CAMERA

Because of USB limitations it's impossible to install and use a USB camera farther than 5 meters from the computer it is connected to.

Good news is you can actually extend the 5-meter distance and work with remote surveillance device via network: Wi-Fi, LAN, or Internet from anywhere in the world.

Steps

1
Connect USB camera to computer. Then install the camera at the position where it will perform monitoring. NOTE: this computer should be connected to the network and be online.

2
Install USB Network Gate at the computer with a camera plugged in. Then share USB camera in USB Network Gate. This computer with the shared USB camera will be considered the USB server.

3
Install USB Network Gate at the machine where you are going to manage the camera and receive monitoring info to. This computer should be connected to the same network as the server machine or to the Internet. Establish connection with the shared camera. This computer will be the USB client. After you saw the shared camera at this remote client machine you will be able to control it remotely and see the image it sends.
